Sophie BeamentMy wedding day is in June 2012
When & Where The big day is going to happen on 23rd June 2012. This date is special to my fiancée (Mike) and I because it will be 7 years to that day that we got together. We are getting married at the Mercure Dunkenhalgh Hotel in a Civil Ceremony, and the reception will also be held here. The hotel is a 700 year old manor house, but it looks like a castle, and to me it's my dream fairytale princess castle. Mike and I loved it the moment we saw it, and we have visited it many times just to check! Wedding Theme The theme of our wedding is Fairytale Cinderella, with the motto 'Happily Ever After'. I always dreamed of being the Princess and having the fairytale wedding, and now I can be! :) The colours are going to be Cadburys purple and white. I originally wanted pink, but Mike wasn't keen on that so we compromised :) Wedding Planning
I am really enjoying the planning of our wedding. We have been to some wedding fayres and I have read lots of Bridal magazines for ideas. So far, we have the venue and photographer booked. Also I have been buying little things each month, (effectively spreading the cost over the months up until the wedding and not buying everything all at once nearer the time). We have bought the favour boxes - Cinderella carriages, table crystals, 'Thank you' scrolls. Wedding CakeMy friend is a Cake Maker and her cakes are amazing (Fondant Fantasies) so she will be making our cake and cupcakes too :)
Something for the guests Mike and I have also decided we would like a Sweet Table too, as we both have a sweet tooth, as do alot of our family and friends. Hair by Dean! Also, my friend Dean is a hairdresser and he is going to do my hair. He is so talented, and is even on the Great British Hairdresser series. The DressAt the moment I haven't picked my dress but I have seen some beautiful ones I definitely want to try. The Wedding Party I have four bridesmaids - my two sisters and my two best friends. Mike has chosen his best man, and his two brothers are going to be ushers.
